Before using dyclonine, you need to clean the affected area with warm water and dry it to avoid bacterial infection that affects the efficacy of the medicine. Take a pea-sized amount of ointment and place it on your fingertips. Apply it gently in a circular motion until the affected area is completely covered. No need to apply thickly. Be more careful when using on mucous membranes to avoid contact with eyes and damaged skin. After applying, let it sit for 3-5 minutes until the drug forms a film. Do not wipe or cover the dressing during this period. Use no more than 3 times a day and no more than 7 days in a row.

Dyclonine cannot be used on large areas of skin or open wounds. Children and pregnant women should use it under the guidance of a doctor. A brief burning sensation may occur after application.
