Is non-marital sex illegal?

Consensual adult sexual behavior between non-couples is not illegal in my country, but it must meet the basic requirements of the law on the age and voluntariness of the sexual subjects. Sexual activity involving the transaction of money may constitute prostitution. According to the Public Security Administration Punishment Law, prostitution and whoring will result in 10-15 days of detention and a fine of less than 5,000 yuan. Organizing, luring, and accommodating prostitution may constitute a criminal offense, punishable by up to life imprisonment.

4. Gathering a crowd for lewdness:

Group sexual behavior involving more than three people may violate the crime of gathering for lewdness. This crime protects public order and good morals. Regardless of whether the participants are voluntary or not, the organizer will face a prison sentence of up to five years, and the participants may be detained by public security.

5. Special relationship restrictions:

It may be illegal for a person in certain professions to have a relationship with someone they work for. For example, when there is an unequal power relationship between teachers and students, doctors and patients, guardians and wards, etc., even if it appears to be voluntary, it may be considered as sexual assault by taking advantage of one's position, and corresponding legal liability must be borne.

It is recommended to confirm the true wishes of both parties before having non-marital sex and take safety measures to avoid transmitted diseases or unwanted pregnancy. Maintaining a single sex partner can help reduce health risks, and regular reproductive health check-ups are a must. If it involves the protection of minors, sexual violence, etc., the case should be reported to the public security agency immediately.
