Why is the temperature of low temperature candles so low?

The low temperature of low-temperature candles is mainly due to the addition of special ingredients such as vegetable wax or low-melting point synthetic wax to the wax base, and the melting point is controlled by adjusting the formula ratio. This type of candle releases less heat when burning and is suitable for sensory experience scenarios with skin contact.

Low-temperature candles usually use natural vegetable waxes such as soy wax, palm wax or beeswax as the base. The melting points of these materials are generally between 45-60 degrees Celsius, which is much lower than the 70-80 degrees Celsius of traditional paraffin wax candles. Coconut oil, shea butter and other moisturizing ingredients are also added during the production process to further reduce the body temperature during combustion. Its combustion mechanism is to expand the contact area between the candle wick and the wax liquid, causing the wax liquid to slowly vaporize instead of violently oxidizing, thereby reducing heat release. Some products add cooling agents such as menthol and camphor to produce a cooling sensation on the skin surface through volatile ingredients.

When using low-temperature candles, be careful to avoid dripping on sensitive areas or mucous membranes. Temperature tolerance should be tested on the inside of the wrist before first use. When storing, it should be kept away from high temperature environments to prevent the wax body from softening and deforming. If redness, swelling or burning occurs on the skin, rinse immediately with cold water and seek medical treatment if necessary. When choosing a product, it is recommended to check the ingredient list and avoid products containing artificial flavors or harsh additives.
