The safe use temperature of low-temperature candles is usually controlled below 50 degrees Celsius. Exceeding 60 degrees Celsius may cause skin burns. The temperature of low-temperature candles drops rapidly when the wax drips, but there are still risks in direct contact with high-temperature wax.
The temperature of low-temperature candle wax dripping is usually between 45-50 degrees Celsius, which is close to the upper limit of human tolerance. Short-term contact may cause slight redness but will not cause substantial damage. When the candle burns, the air temperature near the flame can reach 100-150 degrees Celsius, but the wax liquid will quickly cool down and reduce the temperature during the dripping process. Choose candles made of low-melting point materials such as soy wax and beeswax. The solidification temperature is about 40-45 degrees Celsius, and they can solidify faster to form a protective layer after contacting the skin. Before use, you can test the temperature of the wax liquid on the inside of your wrist. If there is a persistent burning sensation, stop immediately. Keeping the vertical distance between the candle and the skin at least 15 cm can reduce the probability of high-temperature wax liquid dripping directly.
People with sensitive skin or diabetics should be extra cautious when using it, as they may not be able to sense the risk of high temperatures in time due to reduced pain sensitivity or poor blood circulation. Avoid use in areas with weak skin such as the face and joint folds, as these areas are more sensitive to temperature and have weaker repair capabilities. If blisters, skin turns white, or burning persists after use, rinse with cold water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention. It is not recommended to use low-temperature candles after drinking alcohol or while taking painkillers, as temperature judgment and pain response may be blunted.
After use, it is recommended to clean the skin with warm water and apply moisturizing products containing vitamin E or aloe vera to avoid secondary irritation caused by rubbing hard. Store candles away from children and pets to avoid tipping or high-temperature environments that may cause wax leakage. Choose professional low-temperature candle equipment with temperature adjustment function to more accurately control the dripping temperature of the wax liquid. If you need to use it for a long time, it is recommended to take a break every 20 minutes to allow the skin to fully cool down.
