Low-temperature candles usually do not cause burns because the wax body has a low melting point and the burning temperature is controlled at 50-60 degrees Celsius. This type of candle is specially formulated to release heat slowly when burning, making it suitable for use in situations where skin contact is safe.
The wax base of low temperature candles is usually made from a blend of soy wax, beeswax or vegetable wax, which have melting points that are significantly lower than ordinary paraffin wax. During combustion, the flame temperature is precisely controlled by adjusting the thickness of the wax core and the composition of the wax body. The heat will be quickly absorbed and dispersed by the surrounding wax body to avoid local high temperature accumulation. The temperature of the wax liquid formed when the candle burns is only slightly higher than human body temperature. It cools quickly after dripping onto the skin and does not cause burning sensation.
Slight redness may occur in some special scenarios, mainly when sensitive areas of the skin or the same area are continuously exposed to hot wax for more than 10 seconds. This is related to individual differences in skin heat tolerance, but does not cause dermal layer damage. When using it, you should avoid special parts such as mucous membranes and wounds. You can test the tolerance on the inside of your wrist before using it for the first time.
When choosing low-temperature candles, you need to look for adult-specific products from regular manufacturers to avoid mistakenly purchasing inferior candles containing industrial paraffin or metal components. When storing, it should be placed in a cool place to prevent softening and deformation. When burning, keep the environment ventilated. It is recommended that the interval between each use be 2-3 minutes to allow the skin to recover. If persistent stinging or redness occurs, flush with cold water immediately and discontinue use.
