3. Appearance of pubic hair

Excessive androgens derived from the adrenal gland may lead to premature pubic hair appearance alone, and 17-hydroxyprogesterone needs to be tested to rule out congenital adrenal hyperplasia. 4. Sudden height increase

The annual growth rate exceeds 6 cm and the bone age is more than 1 year ahead of the actual age, indicating accelerated growth. The growth curve needs to be monitored regularly, and the rate of bone age progression needs to be assessed through X-rays of the left hand.

5. Behavioral changes

Age-inappropriate sexual curiosity, increased aggression, or mood swings may occur, related to fluctuations in hormone levels. Some children will imitate adult sexual behaviors, so psychological evaluation is required. Long-term precocious puberty may cause social disorders, and psychological and behavioral intervention should be carried out when necessary.

In daily life, parents should avoid exposing their children to hormone-containing foods or skin care products, and control high-calorie diets to prevent obesity from aggravating premature puberty.
