Having your period at 11 years old is usually not considered premature. The age of menarche for girls is generally between 10 and 16 years old, and 11 years old is within the normal range. The time of menarche is affected by many factors such as genetics, nutritional status, and living environment.

There are individual differences in girls' pubertal development. The time of menarche is related to the order of appearance of secondary sexual characteristics such as breast development and height growth. Most girls experience menstruation 2-3 years after breast development begins. Menarche at the age of 11 indicates that puberty starts at the age of 8-9, which is in line with the average level of pubertal development in Chinese children. At present, the nutritional status of children is generally good. Some urban girls may have their menarche slightly earlier, but it is still a normal physiological phenomenon at the age of 11.

Parents should pay attention to their children's growth and development curves, maintain a balanced diet, control high-calorie food intake, and avoid contact with hormone-containing health products or cosmetics. It is recommended to measure height and weight every six months and record the appearance time of secondary sexual characteristics.
